Dear Parents,
Welcome to another year of Religious Education!
The schedules for this year's classes include days and times for Grades 1 to 10 and it is our sincere hope that you will find them helpful when planning your social activities or family events.
Since the number of classes in Religious Education is minimal compared to the number of hours spent in sports, dance or other related activities, we ask you to make the times scheduled for Faith Formation a priority. We ask you kindly to avoid planning other involvement during the times of our classes and prayerfully ask for your positive reinforcement to our religious and catechetical endeavors. We also ask for your attention and cooperation in the following:
- Arrange to transport your child to and from class promptly;
- Parents of children in Grades 1-4 must accompany your children to the school cafeteria before and after classes for safety reasons;
- See that your child brings books and assignments each week;
- Check for and read all notices sent home by our office;
- Try to participate and support us in the various religious functions and liturgical services, especially Sat. or Sunday Mass;
- Telephone our office when your child will be absent;
- Send a note explaining reasons for tardiness or early dismissal;
- Make up classes for 3 or more unexcused absences.
- Encourage reception of the Sacrament of Reconciliation on Saturdays (2:30 p.m.) and worship at the Family Mass at 10:00 a.m. on the second Sunday of each month.
Thank you for allowing us the sacred honor of helping you in the spiritual and religious education of "our"youth. God's blessings be yours in abundance!
Sr. Marie Roccapriore, M.P.F., Parish D.R.E.
